Partner and Executive VP – Wisconsin & Missouri

Mark is a Partner and Executive Vice President of Holtz Builders Inc. He directs daily operations at the HBI headquarters in Wisconsin as well as oversees field operations, quality, and safety.

Mark has over 15 years of hands on construction experience. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in ITM – Building Construction Management from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville. Mark started with HBI more than 15 years ago as a laborer and has since worked his way up to his current position. Mark still appreciates the tremendous amount of work that is required to complete a successful project. He takes pride while driving past these buildings with his family and pointing out what he helped build. 

When not working, you will find Mark spending time with his family, helping out on his parents’ farm, or watching the Packers, Badgers, or the Brewers play.  He also likes to hunt and fish. Mark currently resides in rural Wisconsin Dells with his wife and three children.

Chief Executive Officer – Holtz Companies

Tom is the Founder and CEO of Holtz Companies, the overseeing company of Holtz Builders Inc. (HBI). Tom directs all activities of the company and leads by example in maintaining a culture of honesty, transparency, and integrity. Tom’s philosophy in life is simple – treat others with kindness and give generously.  Tom follows these beliefs everyday by giving back to the communities he works in, both financially and with his time.  He has a strong sense of devotion for the nonprofit sector, and a deep appreciation for what he has to share with others, and as such is an advocate and supporter of area nonprofits such as  Sleep in Heavenly Peace, local Boys and Girls Clubs, area Food Pantries, Agrace, and many, many more. 

Tom has been in the building business for over 30 years and has overseen hundreds of projects from waterparks, large multi-family units, simple and complex remodeling to high end residential, hotels, restaurants and other large commercial buildings.

President- Holtz Companies

Dan is the President of Holtz Companies, the overseeing company of Holtz Builders Inc. (HBI). He oversees all the activities of the company. Dan obtained a bachelor’s degree in Administrative Management from the University of Wisconsin Madison Business School and went on to earn an MBA from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, where he earned the Graduate School Honors Award, while running a few businesses with his family. He started working at an early age and has a strong work ethic. Dan enjoys sharing his experiences and helping lead others to success.

Dan has owned businesses, worked in the State Capitol, and worked for a large, national construction and manufacturing company before joining HBI. He shares in the HBI values and appreciates the award-winning culture!

Director of HR and Community Development, SHRM-CP

As Director of Human Resources & Community Development for Holtz Companies, Trina has a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture and is commited to organizational success through our greatest asset — our employees.  With a comprehensive understanding of HR practices, talent acquisition, employee relations, and organizational development, she and her team work to strategically align HR initiatives with business objectives, ensuring a harmonious and thriving work environment.

Trina has a degree from University of WI – Madison and is a proud Badger! She is the current president of Sauk Columbia SHRM, sits on the board of directors for the WCW Boys and Girls Club- Baraboo, and chairs their largest fundraiser.  She is also a member and past president of the Portage Rotary Club and a recipient of the Paul Harris Award.

Trina grew up attending schools all over the country and attributes her enjoyment of meeting and knowing new people to always being the new kid. In her free time, Trina loves traveling and spending time with friends and her two adult children.

Safety Manager

Kelly’s journey in construction marks her fourth career path, and it’s one she’s embraced wholeheartedly. It all began during a short-term temp job with a waterproofing/coatings subcontractor, just as the silica rule was looming. Drawing from her background in controlling chemical exposures in a petrochemical lab and her teaching experience, Kelly found herself tackling the challenge head-on. This initial foray into construction safety was nothing short of fantastic, affording her the opportunity to contribute to some of Madison, WI’s largest projects between 2017 and 2021.

In June of 2021, Kelly made the leap to Holtz Builders, transitioning from subcontractor collaboration to overseeing safety across a broader spectrum of scopes. Every day brings new lessons, particularly as Holtz’s projects scale in size and complexity. What truly ignites Kelly’s passion for the future is HBI’s commitment to supporting long-term employee health. She sees construction workers as the athletes of the working world and is eager to ensure their safety and well-being. Moreover, Kelly is enthusiastic about welcoming, educating, and positively influencing the growing Latino workforce on job sites, ensuring they too experience a safe and fulfilling work environment.
