Project Scope: The Avid Hotel project encompasses 86 single and double-bed units, each with its own bath, providing comfortable and private accommodations for guests. The hotel also features 2 Otis elevators, 2 stairwells, and a rooftop patio designed for relaxation and gatherings.
Project Challenges:
Notably, one of the elevators extends to the rooftop patio, offering seamless access for guests. The inclusion of the rooftop patio presented a unique design challenge. After receiving the final specifications, it became necessary to revisit the design and add a vestibule for the elevator leading to the rooftop. This adjustment was required to ensure the elevator’s control panel was housed in a conditioned space, meeting specific operational standards.
